Traveling & Day 1

So it is the first day, and a good one at that. All of the team and myself especially was very tired when we got here, more than we thought we would be. So today did encompass some sleep. The whole morning was filled with dance practice, documenting the city landscape, and going to (I don’t know what it is called) – Jesus statue… It is a very high point there, about 5 or 6 thousand feet up… it overlooks the city, so I got an amazing areal view… Lauren also got to take some photos today… We don’t actually get started until Monday morning, but we have been doing stuff anyways.

Their will be a video that is from the traveling day. Fairly fun… ;) I love to travel, almost could have kept going… But I definitely wanted to get off here. I’ll put it up as soon as it is finished uploading :)

The team is awesome, of course, incredible food, and some great chill time. The place we are staying (the founder, Bill Perrow’s, house) is very very nice. I just got out of their hot tub, they also have a pool that we will play water polo in tomorrow…

But here is the download: Monday morning we will be going to the boys farm in the mountains and then coming back to the city later to start planning and documenting the foundation. We will do this Monday through Wednesday (main focus days), then doing some minor documenting on Thursday through Sunday… The team will leave tuesday, august 4th. A lot of other things are happening, so many people doing so many different things. There is the short version… :)

And of course, we are definitely coming back in late Sept/Oct to further documenting the foundation, so please, if you feel called, to support us on this second trip. If you would like to help out, when I get back I will be planning a benefit show, and would love for you all to come out! I will have work from this trip, as well as Lauren’s photos up, some musicians playing (my brother, Andrew Stonestreet, is one of them), and a speaker from Charleston who is just freakin amazing. There is a lot more to come, and I really want to encourage you to come join us! More details to come!

Here are some photos from today:
