the reason for air, light, and rain.

He brings the clouds to punish men, or to water his earth and show his love.

-Job 37:13

One or the other.

God’s desire is to water the earth to show His love to men.

He wants to touch us through the rain droplets falling from the sky.

But when we pollute our lives with worldliness, God’s clouds are saddened and angered, and in His love does not rain down his love.

Instead, He builds up dark, depressive, oppressive clouds, to punish us for our sins.

for our lusts.

for our godlessness.

for our idols that we keep instead of Him.

If only we would turn back to the Lord, He would be more than willing to rain down his love to the earth.

Maybe the reason we have air is because God wanted to breathe on us,

and maybe the reason we have light is because God wanted to be in us,

Maybe the reason God created rain was the show his love to us,

Maybe this is the reason for such a beautiful creation.
